Dear Members and Guests,
This past weekend, Veritas Club welcomed friends from near and far for an intimate RENDEZVOUS. While a number of Members are local, we had other Members and friends descend from Shangri-La, the Hills of Roppongi, and even from the Land of the Midnight Sun. Despite (or rather, on account of) jet lag, festivities ended much later than planned and continued through the early morning. Cleaners found four floors covered in candle wax, feathers, and miscellaneous articles of undergarments and clothing. Suffice to say, the aftermath was spectacular.
For a select group, the evening began in Beverly Grove, at a hideaway restaurant, the entrance of which was down a nondescript, brick archway tunnel on a popular street. It was, in its truest form, hidden in plain sight. Once through the iron gate and past the garden of Bougainvillea and a lone Magnolia tree, our attendees, in tuxedos and evening wear, sat down for a five course tasting menu specially prepared for the Club. The starter burrata caprese was a fitting companion for the evening Spring air. It was followed by orbs of chipotle cauliflower and washed down with much red wine. The showcase of the meal was a whole suckling pig prepared in Mediterranean spices, served with a truffle oil infused carrot parsnip puree and a trio of unique dipping sauces. The dinner was capped with a medley of dessert dishes and espressos. While the food was excellent, the highlight of the meal was the company. After a prolonged absence, we were delighted to see the Crimson Fox* and his Vixen*. It is always fun to catch up on each others’ lives and share stories of past adventures.
After the meal, the group retreated to a nearby residence and joined Chino Noir*, as he held fort and welcomed our later arriving Members and their guests for RENDEZVOUS. The attendee list was highly curated with a lengthy wait list. Purposely scaled down from our other events, the merriment was concentrated and expectantly grand. Activation stations dotted the main room. A dedicated wax station was added to the collection. Kitty de Sade^, unexpectedly dressed in virginal white lingerie, was on hand for intimate demonstrations. Courtesy of the Raging Bull*, modifications to the Saint Andrew’s cross were unveiled, allowing more imaginative play. The Alchemist* made the most use of the pleasure saddle, benefiting greatly from its effects on a leggy blonde. Bunnyman* debuted Veritas Club harness designs, as worn by his Muse*, Sage*, and D-Squared*. Inspired by the equestrian world, they were hand constructed of bridle leather and solid brass hardware. The Club enjoyed the enthusiastic participation of Fuchsia^. Adept with rope, wax, and doling out pleasureful pain, she was responsible for eliciting les petites morts from both males and females. Members Big Easy*and Nightingale*, using wit, charm, and good looks, rounded out the evening by ensuring that a number of our guests had a night to remember.
We greatly missed the presence of Member Tin Man*, who despite committing to attend and enduring a flight to Los Angeles from Taipei, missed curtain call (and flew back out the next day).
Our next round of Evening Activities take place in May, with the first being MASTERCLASS on Friday, May 3rd. Bunnyman* will guide attendees on a sensual journey, where we will explore power exchange through the art of Japanese rope bondage, augmented with Impact and Sensory Play. MASQUE will take place the next evening, Saturday, May 4th. It will be a black tie evening that we are generally used to. The Pantheon will return for the benefit of our Members.
We do have a number of Member events in April, and will be reaching out individually to coordinate schedules.
We look forward to seeing you again.
Sincerely,
Veritas Club
